The property is used fairly regularly by the family during the summer season (no commercial). Duties to include but not limited to:
– Preparing the property for the beginning of the season & closing down at the end of the season
– Family cooking, healthy, fresh & nutritious meals (breakfast, and dinner most days when the family visit, some lunches and an occasional dinner party)
– Daily housekeeping, including the awareness of how to care for fine furnishings and fabrics. Overall, able to maintain cleanliness and presentation
– Laundry & ironing (including use of a roller iron)

Key Responsibilities
Your role will be varied, covering everything from the fine details of cleaning to the logistical management of the household.
1. Cleaning & Household Maintenance
General Cleaning: Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing surfaces to a high standard.
Deep Cleaning: Periodic cleaning of ovens, fridges, windows (inside), and skirting boards.
Organization: Keeping cupboards tidy, decluttering communal areas, and ensuring the home is “guest-ready.”
Bedding: Changing linens and making beds weekly.
2. Laundry & Wardrobe Management
Managing the full laundry cycle: washing, drying, and putting clothes away.
Ironing: High-quality ironing of clothes, bedding and other such items.
Minor repairs (e.g., sewing a button) are a plus but not essential.
3. Kitchen & Food Management
Food Shopping: Creating weekly lists and managing online deliveries.
Cooking/Prep: Preparing simple, healthy family meals or prepping ingredients (chopping veg, marinating) for us to cook later. In particular this would be important for the children for
their return from school
Ensuring the pantry and fridge are stocked with essentials and checking expiry dates.
4. Pet Care
Dog Walking: Taking our dog for a daily walk (approx. 30–45 minutes).
Cat Care: Feeding the cat, ensuring water is fresh, and managing the litter tray.
Generally ensuring the pets feel settled and cared for during your time in the house.
5. Management & Ad-Hoc Tasks
Home Coordination: Being present for deliveries or supervising tradespeople (plumbers, etc.).
Errands: Occasional trips to the dry cleaners, post office, or pharmacy.
Stock Control: Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies and household essentials (toiletries, lightbulbs).
Candidate Requirements
Experience: Previous experience, minimum 5 years+ in private households or high-end hospitality is preferred.
Reliability: Punctual, honest, and able to work independently.
